What Happens During a Dental Cleaning and Exam?

Preventive Dental Care in Humble

A professional dental cleaning removes plaque and hardened tartar from areas that brushing and flossing may not fully reach. During the examination, the dentist evaluates the teeth, gums, bite, existing restorations, and visible oral tissues for changes that may require attention. Digital X-rays may also be recommended based on the patient’s symptoms, dental history, age, and individual risk factors.

Why Choose Q Dental?

For Dental Cleanings and Exams

Q Dental combines detailed preventive care with modern technology and personalized attention. The team takes time to explain examination findings, answer questions, and provide practical recommendations for maintaining oral health between visits. Each cleaning and examination schedule is based on the patient’s current health, dental history, and risk factors rather than a standardized approach.

Benefits of Dental Cleanings and Exams

I always feel nervous every time going to the dentist, even just for check up and cleaning. But with Dr. Son I totally don’t have to count down for the process to be done 😊 She’s kind, gentle and very patient. The clinic is very clean. Highly recommended!!!

Everyone was so nice and very attentive, I was able to book all 3 of my kiddos on the same day and have them all worked on simultaneously, location was 5mins away from home so that was a plus ! It was my son’s first time at the dentist and they made him so comfortable and explained every step to him so he doesn’t feel scared he did so great for the first time ! I would definitely recommend this location !

Hands down the best dental office I've been to in years. The staff is friendly and professional. They treated me with care and kindness. The doctor went over my X-rays and developed a treatment plan that works for both of us. When it was all said and done, they made sure my insurance would cover the extra costs before proceeding with the treatment. I will definitely be making this office mine for years to come. Or, as long as Iive in Humble.

The place is tidy, clean, and spacious. The patient coordinator was awesome and helped me with everything, including payment and insurance. The dental hygienist was welcoming, friendly, and did a great job. Dr. Ho was also welcoming, kind, and reassuring and looked at everything from my teeth to gums to my wisdom teeth throughout the visit. Overall, I had a great experience! Also everything was done quick and fast. I highly recommend.
